Dr. Staci R. Walters O.D. is a residencyStaci R. Walters trained optometrist specializing in medical optometry and surgical co-management. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Oregon and graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the national optometry honors society. Dr. Walters performed two surgical internships at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Chehalis and Vancouver, Washington. Additionally, she completed her residency in Refractive and Ocular Surgery/
Ocular Disease in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. She held teaching positions at Illinois College of Optometry as an Adjunct Clinical Professor and as a teaching assistant at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Dr. Walters spent seven years practicing optometry in Colorado where she worked in ophthalmology practices specializing in refractive surgery, ocular disease and cataract comanagement. While in Colorado, Dr. Walters spent her last 3 years building her own successful independent optometric practice. She joined Eye Surgery Associates in June 2011 as an Optometric Physician and Optometric Community Liaison.

Dr. Walters, a South Florida native, attended Nova Elementary, Middle, and High School. She received her bachelor degree, with honors, in Psychology along with a minor degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Walters, is a chiropractor and they live with their two daughters in Parkland, Florida. In her free time, Dr. Walters enjoys spending time with her family, Master’s Swimming, and competing in Triathlons.
