Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures today. Millions of people have been injected with Botox safely and effectively since it was approved by the FDA in 2002.

Botox Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical procedure that, within days, smoothes moderate to severe lines between the brows, around the eyes, forehead and neck. This purified protein is injected in very low doses into the overactive muscles to block them from contracting and causing wrinkles to form. Once the muscles are at rest, the skin becomes smoother while creating a more natural and refreshed appearance.

It takes just minutes, lasts for months and you can go right back to normal activity after treatment.

As we age, our skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles and sagging. Sun exposure and years of muscle movement (i.e., smiling, chewing, and squinting) also contribute to tissue breakdown of the skin. Fortunately, there are innovative cosmetic procedures to help ease this aging process and sustain one's youth.

Facial fillers, which are also known as "dermal fillers" and "injectables," are temporary to long-lasting solutions administered through a few tiny injections on specific areas of the face. Dr. Glassman offers various types of facial fillers; each designed with one or several purposes, such as wrinkle reduction. Dr. Glassman will work with you to determine which facial filler will provide you with optimal and rejuvenating results.

Laser skin resurfacing is an excellent way of reducing deeper facial wrinkles and reversing the effects of aging of the skin. This is accomplished by stripping away the dead outer layer of skin thus stimulating collagen re-growth within the deeper layers of the skin. Newer, more youthful skin then regenerates, similar to the baby skin you get under a scrape or superficial burn. For many years, deep chemical peels and dermabrasion have performed classic facial skin resurfacing. Recently this field of cosmetic surgery has been revolutionized by the use of lasers.

Laser resurfacing addresses many skin concerns such as wrinkles and fine lines, brown age spots, acne and facial scars, benign lesions and uneven pigmentation.

Unsightly facial growths can be quickly and safely removed in the office under local anesthesia with little or no downtime. All specimens removed are sent to pathology for cancer screening to ensure the highest quality care.

The midface lift procedure is particularly useful for patients with sagging cheeks and deeper nasal furrows. During your initial cosmetic consultation, Dr. Glassman will discuss your goals for the surgery and explain your probable outcome of treatment. Dr. Glassman will also help you to decide which surgical approach will best meet your cosmetic goals - an individual procedure or a combination of procedures.

A midface lift can be performed as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia with deep sedation, or general anesthesia, and may take 1 to 2 hours. During the procedure the fat pads of your cheeks will be repositioned up and over the cheekbones where they belong. This redraping will improve the nasal furrows caused by drooping fat pads. A midface lift is frequently performed in conjunction with eyelid surgery, a brow lift, or a canthoplasty (tightening of the lower eyelid) to achieve optimal results.

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a procedure designed to raise the eyebrows, smooth the forehead and reduce signs of aging. The result of a brow lift is a more aesthetically pleasing, refreshed appearance.

A brow lift can fix one of the earliest signs of aging: drooping of the eyebrows. Your eyebrows start to slowly sag downwards as the years pass. Loose skin and the loss of fat around the brow, forehead and temples contribute to this. By fixing these problems, a brow lift procedure can rejuvenate your appearance.
